Enough time has passed that those of us who donated whole blood at the last event can donate again. If you haven't donated before, join us to see what it's like and have lunch whether you decide to bleed or not! People who've given before may also be able to donate platelets, plasma, or red cells instead of whole blood.

To help out there is a pre-registration procedure that will make things go more smoothly. First, you should call Miller-Keystone at 800-B-A-DONOR (800-223-6667) to get an appointment time between 9:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. Then, if you have a laptop or desktop, on the day of your appointment, go to their online screening at https://www.giveapint.org/iScreen and answer the health questions. Once at the center, please give group code #7789 or mention Lehigh Valley Humanists at the desk so your donation will be credited to LVH. Walk-ins are also welcome, but you may have to wait.

After we donate, we'll head across the parking lot to Penn Pizza for a bite. It's a nice place with outstanding food (Jason recommends the spinach salad) at a good price.

We may want to try clustering our times closer to 11 (earlier if donating something other than whole blood) so as many of us can eat together as possible.
