Film Screening & Lunch: Fix It - Healthcare at the Tipping Point

In lieu of our monthly discussion group at Pie's On, we will be hosting a screening of Fix It - Healthcare at the Tipping Point, described by the filmmakers as "a powerful documentary that reaches across the political and ideological divide. It makes the case for business leaders' support for major healthcare reform."

More from the filmmakers:

"The film was two years in the making, with more than forty voices advocating for reform, including: activists, health policy experts, economists, physicians, nurses, patients, business and labor leaders.

This documentary takes an in-depth look into how our dysfunctional health care system is damaging our economy, suffocating our businesses, discouraging physicians and negatively impacting on the nation's health, while remaining unaffordable for a third of our citizens."

Timeline:

11:00 - Film Screening

12:00 - Lunch: sandwiches, salads, and drinks provided by LVH (donations accepted but not required). You may bring your own food as well.

12:45 - Q&A with director Vince Mondillo

Parking:

Street parking is available near the Center and is free on Sundays. Another option is the Community Deck at 13 South 6th Street (conveniently adjacent to the Center).
