This spring we return to the Trexler Nature Preserve to take on the South Range Trail. Those of us who did the Central Range Trail last year will find the South Range quite different, with meadows, a huge gorge and wonderful views. It's one of my favorite trails because of its varied terrain. In the parking lot off of Orchard Road, take the short path to the Trexler Environmental Center on top of the hill. Meet us on the roof.

This is a MEDIUM level trail, about 4 miles long. Some inclines, but no rock climbing. Should be good for most ages. Bring water, snacks, good walking or hiking shoes, long pants and a brimmed hat. Bug repellent and Sun Screen may be needed as well.
